One of my favorite magazines, Harper’s Bazaar, recently featured on its In/Out list that black and neon is in this season and a killer celestial clutch by Edie Parker caught my eye for a mere $1,395. Nothing on the page is under $1,000 and investment pieces are important if a person can afford them but let’s face it, most people need to find cool, reasonable alternatives… so I thought I would look around for some comparables to “moon” over in the cyber world under that price.
I love vintage Lucite purses and Etsy has several for sale with a rotating stock from various vendors worldwide. Edie Parker’s cost $1,000 and up. You can find good deals!
Check out this $28 makeup/ evening clutch with a mod atomic design, ivory rayon fabric lining with elasticized pocket, mirrored side with flaw in mirror, clutch opens to 90*, measures about 4″ x 6″ x 1 1/2″, metallic gold fabric and corrugated look gold trim encased under clear lucite. Lucite purse from Mary and Marge:
On Net-A-Porter (If you Ebates, it’s 3% cash back, go through the link on the right on my site) is a scrumptious REDValentino black leather star boot. Priced at $650, this pair of REDValentino’s leather ankle boots is embellished with gold piping in the shape of a star. Makes me think of Madonna‘s Lucky Star sung in my favorite movie Vision Quest. I definitely see a strong 80s vibe returning in the fashion world and am delighted as my hair is essentially the same.
In black or light tan, also on 6pm.com…for only $59.99, the moon and the stars are at your heels when you find the flavor for fantasy and walk into the future with Astral by Grazie Star Boots.
From Net-O-Porter, Inez and Vinoodh, a sterling silver necklace for $310 with interlinked rings which are a hallmark of the collection and represent the designers’ wedding bands.
Or from B9 Studio, for $32, get this glossy finished white gold plated small crescent moon and three gold plated tiny star charms with sterling silver cable chain.
Spread your fashion wings, the sky’s the limit. Love, HauteAngel
